CALL FOR EXHIBITORS: Shutter Hub Book & Zine Fair

As part of the Shutter Hub OPEN 23/24 exhibition, showcasing 100s of photographs at Cambridge University this winter, we’ll be hosting a mini Book & Zine Fair.

We’ll be bringing along books from our Shutter Hub Editions series, as well as some interesting vintage and collectable photography books, and we’re inviting photographers and publishers to join us, and showcase their publications too.

The Book & Zine Fair will take place on 10 December 2023, as part of the exhibition launch event, between 11-3pm, at the Alison Richard Building on West Road, Cambridge. From past experience, we expect a good sized audience.

We’d love to share a wide selection of artists books, zines, and other printed materials. So, whether you’ve created a one-off handmade zine or run your own publishing house, we welcome you to join us.

We hope to include as many people as possible, but we don’t have unlimited space, so please do fill out the form and register your interest as soon as possible so we can reserve your space. We’re covering the costs of this event ourselves, but we do ask you to make a donation towards our Membership Bursary Fund when you confirm your booking. Spaces are free for Shutter Hub members. The deadline for registration is 01 October 2023.

Photographers, publishers and independent sellers are invited to submit their interest in reserving a space at the Shutter Hub OPEN 23/24 Book & Zine Fair.



With limited spaces available, please complete your application form with as much information as you can so that we can become familiar with your products.

We’ll be in touch as soon as possible to reserve spaces.


Deadline for entries: 01 October 2023

Please do not leave your entry until the last minute, we cannot accept any late entries.



There are no fees to register your interest in a space. If you are allocated space at the Book & Zine Fair we will ask for a donation to the Shutter Hub Membership Bursary Fund.

Spaces are free for Shutter Hub members.

This opportunity is open to all photographers, independent sellers and publishers.


We hope to be able to respond to early entries individually. If the entry is received close to the deadline, we will be in touch to inform applicants of the outcome of their submission, whether they have been selected or not, shortly after the deadline. We always get in touch, so, if for any reason you don’t hear from us, please email.



Shutter Hub reserves the right to display, reproduce and publish in any media any entry, without payment, for the purpose of the project and its promotion and publicity. Copyright remains with the originator and each photographer shall be deemed to warrant that they own the entire copyright in the work or that they have permission from the licensee and/or copyright owner/s for the uses and that all necessary model releases and clearances have been obtained. If relevant, insurance of the artist’s work is the responsibility of the artist. Shutter Hub reserves the right to refuse work that they deem to be inappropriate, offensive, or explicit.
