Jill Reidy
I am a graphic designer and ex primary school teacher, now a children’s writer and photographer. My real love is documentary or street photography, alongside social issues. I am interested in the stories behind the images.
I have exhibited locally several times: ‘Hanging Out in Havana’; ‘Inside Out’ which examined LGBTQ issues; ‘Sex, Drugs and What’s Your Role,’ which was about feminism; ‘Just a Moment’ street shots from Lanzarote. In 2017 I completed a road trip around the seaside towns of the UK for an exhibition, ‘Seaside Towns Out of Season’, examining the similarities and differences between these towns, and our perceptions of them. I am currently working on a long term project about the things people leave behind.
