Graduating BA Hons Photography degree students at Staffordshire University will be presenting their work at a public exhibition on Friday 10th of June. The widely admired annual exhibition welcomes members of the public and the creative industries to view the student’s work on display at Studio One and the Dwight building at the College Road campus in Stoke–on-Trent.
Nexus 16 brings together a diverse range of works including fashion, commercial, sports, documentary, still life and fine-art photography. The exhibition provides students with an opportunity to showcase their work and creativity to the public while offering the chance for visitors to network with the exciting emerging photography talent.
David Noble the BA(Hons) Photography Course Leader writes:
“This year we see again how diverse our student work is. From the implausible ‘metaphysical machine’, exploding flower heads to the practicalities of underwater photography. The intellectual curiosity of our students demonstrates our commitment to engaging with the ubiquity and complexity of photography in the 21st century. The course allows for the individual to find their ‘voice’, through their expertise and application of craft, combined with insightful conceptual and creative solutions. We are sure that our graduates are ambitious, thoughtful and have a defined sense of purpose for the future. As Thomas Jefferson said, “I'm a greater believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it” We wish them plenty of good luck.
Members of the public, keen photographers and prospective students who want to find out more about the course are all welcome to the exhibition which opens on Friday 10th of June (6.30pm – 9.30pm) and continues over the next week.
