Mirjam Lorek
In the world of staged photography with miniatures, I find my canvas, my stage, and my voice. I attempt to craft minimalistic scenes that delve deep into the realms of the human condition. My work is a reflection of my fascination with the incomprehensible, the ambiguous, and the philosophical nuances that shape our existence. Each meticulously arranged tableau leads into a sphere where reality intertwines with imagination, where the boundaries between the tangible and the abstract blur into obscurity. I invite the audience to discover their own interpretation in each image. My passion for all art forms inspires my creative process, exploring a multidisciplinary approach. Drawing inspiration from literature, performing and visual arts, I extend the common perception of the photographic medium into a mediator between art forms. Through thought-provoking images, I intend to stimulate dialogue and contemplation, inviting the audience to confront the complexities of the human experience. In the delicate balance between reality and illusion, between the tangible and the intangible, I elicit introspection. This intense inner debate is the very nature of photography.
