John Waine
Not a born creative but I’ve always owned a camera, initially to take photos of our pedigree cattle (many moons ago).
In 2005 I bought my first DSLR and met friends that I’m still close with now. With their help and encouragement I became more serious about my photography. However, I have blown hot and cold with it over the years. It produces as much frustration as enjoyment but I like a challenge!
These days (after the inevitable family photos), I prioritise street photography, enjoy photographing farm animals the most, and take the occasional Peak District landscape because the process is so enjoyable even if I don’t particularly enjoy the end product.
I’m always happy to join other photographers for a coffee and a chat when I’m on the street in Manchester, York or London.
