Mildly obsessed with photography since the age of 9, it’s been a slowly developing passion but consistently brewing in the background. The intention was always to capture a moment as it happened, never to intervene.
My family weren’t very happy with that style of pictures – their idea of family photos meant wearing your Sunday best and having a clean face. They still need convincing every now and then. Of all the pictures I’ve taken, my favourite is of my great-grandmother knitting in the same room she passed away in some years later.
More recently I’ve returned to analog as a complement to my digital pictures. I’m proud to be an AllFormat collective member – an international group of 15 who promote analog photography. I develop film and print my own black and white pictures.
