We are honoured to announce the winner of the AUTO PHOTO Awards 2024 Creative Impact Award, Mai Ikuzawa.
Mai is a true ambassador for the creative industries and motorsport heritage through her groundbreaking work at Team Ikuzawa, where she carries on (and builds upon) the legacy of her father, the legendary Tetsu Ikuzawa, by merging their motorsport heritage with contemporary collaborations through art, design, and luxury brands. She has made Team Ikuzawa a cultural force in the automotive world.
Mai’s approach is unique, and she’s breaking new ground with her strong vision and ability to forge strong connections through quality collaborations. Crossing boundaries and breaking barriers, her work is always inspiring and aspirational.
“Thank you so much for this incredible honour. It’s truly humbling to receive the Creative Impact Award, as my mission has always been to unite the best of the automotive and creative worlds—combining contemporary design, art, and meaningful brand collaborations through Team Ikuzawa.
On a personal note, I learned about this award just after completing our ambitious project with Daniel Arsham at Goodwood Revival, which was hugely successful but also I felt broken from the physical and mental effort it took to bring it all together, so I was delighted and deeply grateful for this recognition. It highlights the energy and vision behind these dynamic collaborations, and I hope to continue inspiring others to push boundaries and discover new opportunities where they least expect them.”
