Emma Harris

I am a fine art photographer based in Brighton in the UK.  My photographs are heavily influenced by the bounty of the seasons and the subtle changes in light that accompany each month. I like to capture quiet, ethereal scenes, using my background as a stylist and love of flowers. Each scene is carefully composed to echo the time of year and then photographed using only natural light, which can sometimes involve days waiting for the perfect moment.

As a child, I was fascinated with the Dutch Masters, collecting postcards of their paintings when ever I visited a gallery. However in contrast to those painters, who often mixed produce that would not have been available concurrently in their paintings, I take a great deal of joy in capturing the essence of the seasons and the beauty therein.
