We are excited to announce the call for entries for our fifth annual Shutter Hub OPEN exhibition.
Last year we exhibited at Edinburgh’s Retina Festival of International Photography. This year we’ll be taking over a space at London’s famous Old Truman Brewery and creating the biggest OPEN yet with well over 200 images on show.
The exhibition will be part of London Photomonth, launching at the beginning of the two month long event, and run alongside Photo Book London and Moniker Art Fair at the Old Truman Brewery.
This year we have teamed up with Newspaper Club to produce the exhibition. The gallery walls will be filled with your images, taped to the walls and printed on tabloid format high quality newsprint. It’s going to look amazing! (And it also means exhibitors won’t have to print, frame or deliver their work – win, win!)
There will be an award for the ‘Best in Show’, where viewers will get to vote for their favourite photograph from the exhibition.
Aside from the exhibition we’ll be hosting a drop-in sessions and portfolio reviews in the gallery space and inviting everyone down for a private view on the evening of 4thOctober 2018.
This truly is a brilliant opportunity, and we’re absolutely delighted to be able to share it!
Our OPEN exhibition is open to everyone. Enter the OPEN and have the chance to exhibit the work that you think best promotes you and your practice. The theme is ‘Open’, and we mean that! We want to see a diverse selection of styles and subjects and bring them together in an exhibition that promotes the future of photography.
The exhibition will run from Thursday 4thOctober – Tuesday 9thOctober 2018
The deadline for applications is Monday 10thSeptember 2018. Entry is £15 for Shutter Hub members, £30 for non-members.
