Woodend Mill in Mossley was bustlingly busy on Saturday when we launched our Alternative Process exhibition at The Engine Room. The mill was open for its Autumn exhibition, a chance for people to visit the many workshops and studios in this developing creative space.
Up in The Engine Room there was no exception. In fact, we’ve been told that it was the busiest room in the mill! Over 100 people stepped through door into the fabulous alternative photography space, run by Shutter Hub member John Kiely, and joined us for our opening event.
Lollies and chocolates, along with tea and juice, were the order of the day. The Engine Room is an intriguing and comfortable place; people chatted and laughed, relaxed on the sofa and chairs and viewed the work eagerly – and I mean eagerly – I heard one chap ask John for a loop so he could get a better look!
