Yesterday we had the treat of meeting up with some of our lovely photographers at the National Portrait Gallery in London. We were there to see the fabulous Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize, which included workd from Shutter Hub member Sian Davey. It was great to share the exhibition with other photographers of different genres and backgrounds and get their perspectives on the imagery on display. Eleven photographers attended, travelling from as far afield as Crewe, Burton-on-Trent and Winchester for the Meet Up!
“It was really good to meet the other photographers, very stimulating and I'm looking forward to the next meeting already”, said Shutter Hub member Eric Gaffney who specialises in architectural images.
And Rocky Day said, “What a great day! Great to meet new people and be inspired! So worth the journey! Can't wait for the next meet up!” So that's nice!
After enjoying the exhibition we headed off the The Crypt at St Martins in the Field for an array of cakes and beverages and lots more varied chatter!
Thank you all for coming along and making it such a lovely day. We can't wait to meet up again in 2015!
