Photographers, join us for the second Shutter Hub Open exhibition and exhibit the work that you think best promotes you and your practice. The theme is ‘OPEN’, and we mean that! We want to see a diverse selection of styles and subjects and bring them together in an exhibition that promotes the future of photography. Whether you are a commercial photographer or a fine art photographer (and everything inbetween) it's about showcasing your work to a wider audience both online and in the real world, and opening yourself up to new opportunities. Submission to the exhibition is open to all!

This year we will be in central London, at the St Bride Foundation, just off Fleet Street. St Bride Foundation is steeped in marvellous history and currently over 80,000 people visit every year. In 1891 it was established as a centre for social, cultural and recreational activities for the fast developing print and publishing trade of Fleet Street. The building houses the St Bride Library – the largest library for printing, publishing and the graphic arts in the English-speaking world, as well as many magnificent rooms, a fabulous printing workshop, The Bridewell Theatre (with the disused Victorian swimming bath hidden beneath) and the Theatre Bar and Gallery.
There will be a prize for the ‘Best in Show’, where visitors will get to vote for their favourite photograph (the image above is the 1st place 'Best in Show' winner from the 2014 OPEN – Searching the Destiny by Swee Hoe Lim). We’ll also have voting available online to help reach as wide an audience as possible. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd places awarded, as well as Highly Commended awards.
This really is a perfect opportunity for you to come together with other photographers, share best work and promote it to a wider audience.
Entry is FREE for all full Shutter Hub members, £15 for non members, and entrants can submit up to three works each. (It currently costs just £40 per year to become a member – find out more about Shutter Hub membership HERE).
The exhibition will run from Monday 9 June to 13 September 2015 with a Private View on Monday 8 June 2015.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 4th May 2015. Please read the full Terms & Conditions before entering. Good Luck!
