Shutter Hub OPEN 2025: Exhibition Installation Images

© Karen Harvey

The Shutter Hub OPEN 2025 opened on 13 January 2025 at Art at the ARB at Cambridge University. The exhibition, which runs until 21 March 2025, brings together over 100 international photographers in a selected exhibition promoting the future of photography through diverse and creative imagery – taking over four floors of the ARB building at Cambridge University, transforming the space and covering the walls with hundreds of images printed by our favourite newspaper print partners Newspaper Club.

“I love this exhibition for its democratic style, its striking and playful curatorial decisions, the environmental credentials of its printers and venue, and its warm and welcoming atmosphere. We are all equal on the ARB walls – everyone’s work is printed the same size and is given equal attention. This absence of hierarchy is what makes it so special.

I love the way the exhibition is curated. Karen Harvey MBE made the images come to life and talk to one another. What a delight to find these connections when visiting the exhibition!

It feels like home when you are there, it’s totally stress-free and the range of work exhibited there is inspiring. At the opening event, I had many insightful conversations with friendly people who were, like me, obsessed with photography.

Thank you Shutter Hub for including my works in OPEN Cambridge 2025 and for all your support. I am happy to be part of this wonderful community…”

– Anna Sellen, OPEN 2025 exhibitor
