The Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize 2015 will open at the National Portrait Gallery this month, the leading international competition which celebrates and promotes the very best in contemporary portrait photography from around the world.
The selected portraits explore both traditional and contemporary approaches to the photographic portrait, capturing a range of characters and locations, as well as recognisable faces including Benedict Cumberbatch and Barack and Michelle Obama. The image above (Nyaueth by Peter Zelewski) is one of the shortlisted entries in this year’s competition.
The Taylor Wessing exhibition will open at the National Portrait Gallery from 12 November 2015. The award ceremony will take place on Tuesday 10 November. Visit the website here to see the shortlisted entires and for further details.
