EVENT: Talks by Kate O’Neill (from Metro Imaging) and Jackie King (Lifestyle Photography) as part of the Shutter Hub OPEN 2016:

A ‘double bill’ of photography talks from Kate O’Neill and Jackie King. With a huge breadth of experience between them, our speakers will offer up their insights and share their knowledge to help you make your own way in the industry. From supporting emerging photographers, to setting up collectives and establishing your own practice and career, this evening will be of huge value to anyone who wants to develop as a working photographer. It's also a chance to put your questions and get the answers to the questions you've been struggling with, so come prepared!


Kate O'Neill

Photographer by trade, Kate has been working in the photography industry for over 10 years from shooting portrait and boudoir photography to assisting fashion and fine art photographers across the UK and Ireland. Co-founder of TheOGC  and The Precursor Project as well as marketing manager at Metro Imaging, she is now embedded at the heart of the photographic community, supporting and encouraging emerging and existing artists.


Jackie King

'Finding your feet and making your way in Lifestyle Photography'

Whether starting out or further along in your career it's always good to reflect on your photography identity, where you're at and where you'd like to get to. Jackie has been self employed for over 10 years and has a range of clients she works with within the lifestyle and portrait fields. Clients hire Jackie to refresh their brands, to capture images for web and printed media and her clients include RIBA, Buckham and Porsche.




There will be time for questions, discussion and networking after the talks. In order to make this evening affordable to everyone, we are accepting voluntary donations to support the event. Please show your support if possible. This event is open to all.
