My aim in this composite is to give an impression of a place, rather than making it instantly recognisable.

My work typically starts with landscape. I’m interested in how traces in the landscape reveal and hide aspects of our social worlds. Recently I have been making composite images of places that focus on form, shape, texture, colour etc and continuities between photographs. I also keep an eye open for abstracts in the landscape, particularly those that seem to speak to current issues.

I’m interested in participatory and collaborative photography. I have facilitated and co-facilitated participatory projects. I am currently working on a collaborative photography exhibition project with the campaigning group ‘Patients Not Passports’ – we campaign against healthcare charges for migrants in the UK.
