Janet Murphy

Janet Murphy is a UK based landscape and experimental photographer using both digital and analogue images to create her unique form of art photography . Shortlisted in 2021 and in 2024 for the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain International Photography exhibition , Janet also received an RPS Creative Eye selectors award in 2023 , several ‘honorable mentions ‘ and a ‘ category winner ‘ in the Julia Margaret Cameron Awards for women photographers hosted by Fotonostrum Barcelona .In 2025 her series ‘ Blood Moon ‘ was chosen as one of 4 overall winners in the 26th Julia Margaret Cameron Awards for Women Photographers and will be exhibiting at the Fotonostrum gallery  Barcelona in 2026 .  Born in Cornwall and having lived in the south west of the UK all her life she combines her love of the sea and the forest environment to produce her colourful artwork she is now based in Somerset UK .
