A great opportunity to make something really unique for Christmas: create beautiful Cyanotype using festive greenery, stencils and negatives to turn into Christmas cards or prints for the perfect present.
Be inspired by Bedruthan’s natural surroundings as you learn one of photography’s oldest processes, the Cyanotype. Spend time outdoors looking for just the right flower or plant from which to make your botanical blueprints, or even use the ocean waves to create your artwork (weather dependent, but can still go ahead inside).
This taster session will teach you the basics of this Victorian contact printing technique which harnessing the power of the sun (or an inside alternative) and the purity of water to develop stunning blue and white images. You will leave with three gorgeous prints to send as a card or to frame and hang pride of place on a wall.
Photographic artist Josie Purcell will help you create your unique artworks, with plenty of inspiration to get your ideas flowing.
