Gallery & Retail Coordinator: Salary: £23,000 – Raising to £25,000 after probation ends.
Holiday: 30 days (including bank holidays), hours of work: 10am – 6.30pm Tuesday to Saturday (subject to change, dependent on gallery events), location: Wenlock Road, N1 and Boundary Street E2. Start date: Mid October, to be confirmed on offer, reports to: the depot_ director.
Role and responsibilities: To support the depot_ director in opening two new spaces through the following channels: Drive growth of the business through building membership subscriptions, be responsible for the running of the gallery and commerce, delivering the exhibition programme through tight project management, programme and manage the retail spaces by taking responsibility for site management, recruit and manage the gallery assistants, when the time comes.
The ideal candidate will have: At least three years experience working in a high profile gallery or institution, have a wide art industry knowledge and a passion for innovative products, proven project management skill, a hands on attitude when working in a multi department team, be proficient in spreadsheets, reporting and adobe suite and have an eye for detail, especially within digital communications and photography
Extra Information: This is a hands on role within a multi purpose, cultural and retail venue. Although the gallery and hospitality teams are separate departments we will be operating together to create a community, and this role involves cross departmental support. It is customer facing both digitally and in store with large portions of the day being actively involved in what’s happening around you.
This particular role requires the experience stated above.
