Vacancy: Artist Liaison – ARTIQ

Description: We are looking for an Artist Liaison to source artists and create long-term artist relationships, you will manage the ARTIQ catalogue, all represented archives and to be the main point of contact for our artists.

Main Responsibilities: Manage ARTIQ’s databases of artworks and contacts, build and develop new relationships with a credible network of artists, archives and galleries, maintain high-level relationships with existing artists, archives and galleries through regular and open communication with all connected parties, innovate and implement sound business processes; systems and record keeping practices and assist the curatorial and consultancy team with ad-hoc research requests.

Specific Responsibilities: Ensure ARTIQ’s catalogue is kept up to date, inputting new artworks and data as needed, accurately negotiate terms with prospective and existing represented artists with efficiency, to find cost-savings wherever possible, and to ensure the fair pay for artists, work within the Operations team to ensure smooth communication with artists, archives and galleries, to deliver and report against relevant targets including but not limited to; number of new artists signed, number of new artworks added to the catalogue, number of events attended and number of artist meetings, where relevant, propose innovations which could open The Company into new markets or result in more efficient processes, attend industry events including relevant exhibitions, open studios and arts fairs for networking purposes, ensuring ARTIQ have access to the best quality artists to maintain competitive advantage, champion ARTIQ’s rental model amongst artists and relevant gallery partners and advise the Consultancy team on relevant awards, exhibitions and events regarding ARTIQ’s artists.

Requirements: An Arts or related Degree, proven track record in Project Management, proven track record in artist management, an existing and extensive network of current, relevant artists, knowledge of and contacts within contemporary British and international art, personable and organised with an excellent attention to detail, experience in using Photoshop and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
