The issue of diversity in photojournalism has been much-discussed this year – not only in the stories we choose to cover, but also the photographers that are shooting them. Why is our industry so dominated by male and white photographers? How does the lack of diversity behind the camera affect the stories we put in front of it? And on a practical level, what can photographers do to start addressing these problems?
For our October PhotoForum, we’ve put together a panel to answer some of these questions. We’ll be joined by photographers Anna Gordon, Suzanne Plunkett and Chin We for a discussion chaired by Helen Healy, Head of Pictures at the Financial Times.
As always, PhotoForum is completely free and open to all. Doors open at 7:00PM for a prompt 7:30 start. We expect this talk to be a busy one, so come along early to make sure you get a seat.
Date and Time: October 2019, 19:30 – 21:00.
Location: The Print Space, 74 Kingsland Road, E2 8DL, London.
