Hogchester Arts is an ongoing project interested in intersections between contemporary art practices and the 75-acre conservation site of Hogchetser Farm in rural West Dorset.
The Artist Residency Program offers opportunities for artists to stay and work within the immersive environment of Hogchester and to respond to its unique history and varied, ancient landscape (winter stays are in the holiday cottage and summer residencies in The Quiet Space). Hogchester hopes to gain new insights into the understanding of itself through the exploratory practices of visiting artists in residence.
The residency also offers an exhibition opportunity, as Hogchester will host exhibitions of works created during, or inspired by, artists’ residency periods. Our first show is planned for summer 2019 following the renovation of our new exhibition space.
We are now taking applications for our 2019 artist residencies. The applications deadline is 20th August 2018. Please click HERE for details and information on how to apply.
