We’re really pleased that following on from his Professional Development talk on 8 June, Malcolm Dickson, Director at Street Level Photoworks will be holding Surgeries in June! You can book a video call appointment with Malcolm on Tuesday 22 June 2021.
Malcolm is interested in hearing from photographers who are exploring new work or have substantially developed bodies of work which blend experimental approaches and/or issue based themes; socially engaged; social landscape and new documentary. Impartial advice is on offer on networking opportunities and how to develop your work and connect further with it.
“I think the idea of a Surgery is a really good one. A portfolio review assumes you’ve completed a body of work or at least had some proofs printed. Sometimes we as photographers/artists have an issue that prevents us getting to this stage, so a chat with someone who has knowledge and understanding is invaluable. I certainly have some thoughts and ideas based on my chat [with Karen], and now need to set some time aside to clarify how I might achieve what we talked about.” – David Morgan-Davies
