We’re very pleased to welcome a special guest to the Shutter Hub Surgery. On Sunday 02 August 2020 you can book a Skype appointment with Magda Kuca, photographer, tutor, and specialist in alternative process and historical photographic techniques.
Through her photographic work Magda has collaborated with various acclaimed art institutions and galleries, such as the British Museum, and University of Arts London, exhibiting with Shutter Hub, Circulation(s) Festival in Paris, and at LCC having received a commission from Photography and the Archive Research Centre. Her main interest is in exploring cyclical nature of human rituals by utilising historical photographic technique of wet plate collodion, using contexts of identity, memory and ethnological investigation.
Magda leads alternative and historical photographic techniques workshops (cyanotype, wet plate collodion, pinhole photography, gum bichromate, anthotype, gelatin silver printing and others) in her Soho studio in London as well as in Poland.
